LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) founding members including Ijaz Yousafzai, chairman human rights (SCBAP) Sibtain Akhtar Bokhari and Mujahid Rizvi met newly appointed secretary general of the party Arshad Daad at PTI secretariat in Lahore.
PTI Secretary general Arshad Daad was presented a bouquet of flowers by founding members of the party.
During the meeting, Daad stated that PTI is only party who is promoting merit-system in the country, adding that we want to see people of Pakistan to be independent. Deputy Information Secretary PTI Punjab Nadeem Bhinder was also present in the meeting.
On October 1, PTI chairman Imran Khan appointed veteran party member Arshad Daad to the post of secretary general.
Previously, Daad has served the party as the additional secretary general after Jahangir Tareen’s resignation in the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s December 15, 2017 verdict disqualifying him from holding public office.
