KARACHI: Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair said SME Business Solutions Limited (SME BSL) were playing a significant role in economic development of the country and providing multiple services, including one window operation, for small traders. SME BSL should set up an economic policy for foreign investors, keeping in view Pakistan’s economy policy, which will lead to increased foreign investment in Pakistan, Zubair said.
Talking to a five-member delegation led by SME BLS CEO Waliullah Khan, Zubair expressed satisfaction over SME BSL’s performance and appreciated it for providing facilities to business community under one roof. Zubair said the investment trend in stock exchange was quite low, which required attention.
He advised SME BSL to come up with suggestions for the stock exchange to increase capitalisation trend, for which, various promotion seminars may be arranged, he said. The governor said Sindh government was ready to cooperate with SME BSL in that regard. Raziullah Khan and Mazhar Rashid of SME BSL apprised the governor of suggestions made under national policy.
Sanam Hussain gave a detailed presentation about the business solution services of SME BLS, which the governor appreciated.
The governor proposed that SME BLS should expand scope of their business activities to traders of Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and other cities so that all small traders of the country could benefit from their expertise. He said it was pivotal to promote trade and industry in light of country’s present economic situation and people from all fields had to play their due role.
In the context of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), we should also make efforts to get maximum benefits from this project, the governor said. CPEC will boost Pakistan’s economy and coming generations, he concluded.
