ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has on Wednesday barred the accountability court from proceedings against the former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. The high court also stopped the accountability court from issuing non-bailable arrest warrants of Ishaq Dar.
The petition had been filed by Dar’s lawyer Qausain Faisal Mufti who maintained before the court that Dar should be exempted from personally appearing before the court due to his health issues and demanded that he be allowed to be represented by some other authorised person.
IHC ordered stopping the proceedings till January 17, 2018 upon hearing the petition filed on the 2nd of the ongoing month.
